As part of NiCare’s ongoing Quality Assurance inspections across all 25 Local Government Areas of Niger State, the Executive Secretary of the Niger State Contributory Health Agency (NiCare), Sulayman Abu-Bakr, conducted a supervisory visit to the Maitumbi Primary Healthcare Centre in Bosso Local Government Area. The inspections aim to ensure that healthcare facilities receiving capitation from NiCare consistently deliver high-quality services to their communities.

The Maitumbi facility, renovated in 2021 through funding from NiCare and the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) capitation, is one of several facilities across the state benefiting from NiCare’s support. During the visit, the Executive Secretary engaged with healthcare workers and patients, addressing their concerns and evaluating the facility’s service standards.

Sulayman Abu-Bakr emphasized that the well-being of communities remains central to NiCare’s mission. “These Quality Assurance inspections are crucial in upholding our promises to the people of Niger State. Facilities like Maitumbi serve as lifelines for their communities, and NiCare remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of care.”

The inspections across the state align with Governor Mohammed Umar Bago’s vision of accessible, sustainable healthcare for all Niger State residents, ensuring no community is left behind, regardless of location.
