The Directorate of Administration, Niger State Contributory Health Agency, oversees all the daily operations of Administrative Units such as the General Admin Unit, Human Resource, Investment, Store, Procurement, Maintenance and Transport Units. The Administrative bodies typically have a vertical hierarchy with the Executive Secretary at the most superior level. The Department also coordinates all the administrative activities of the various Departments of the Agency. The Directorate serves as Secretariat to the Executive Secretary and works hand in hand with other Departments to ensure that all the activities of the Agency are well coordinated and ensures that the Human Resource needs are satisfied. The department also prepare, organize and store information in paper and digital form. The Department is headed by Director Administration (D.A).
Key Functions
- Coordinates the activities of all Departments of the Agency.
- Ensure compliance with Public Service Rules and Scheme of Service.
- Recruitment of Ad-Hoc/Casual Staff of the Agency
- Managing schedules, personnel databases, generating reports and ensures that all Agency’s departments operate efficiently.
- Set up the Administrative Structure of the Agency in compliance with the mandate of the Agency
Units Under The Administrative Department And Their Functions
The unit coordinates and supervise all administrative activities for the DA approval. In charge of Agency capacity building, In charge of Staff general welfare. The head of the unit has worked in some other MDAs of the State at various capacities before being deployed to NGSCHA to head the HR unit. The unit has the following cadre of staff: Human Resource Officer.
The unit is In charge of maintenance of vehicle/ transport, Programme officer, respond to circular or Correspondence, In charge of Staff List. The head of the unit has worked in some other MDAs of the State at various capacities before being deployed to NGSCHA to head the GA unit. The unit has the following cadre of staff: General Admin Officer, O/C Open Registry, O/C Secret Registry
The unit is responsible to Advice the Agency on investment opportunity, monitor and kept records of investment contribution by the Agency, write quarterly, annually on investment contribution details for record purpose
Responsible for Retirement of financial record, Contact sign receipt and issuance of vouchers, payment without store supporting documents this violate financial instruction.
