In alignment with Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago’s mission to enhance the welfare and well-being of senior citizens, NiCare has officially commenced the enrollment of retirees into the Niger State Contributory Health Insurance Scheme. This initiative reflects the administration’s commitment to providing care, comfort, and improved access to healthcare for retirees across the state.
The Retirees Medical Insurance Package (RMIP) offers a wide range of benefits, including regular health check-ups, medications, emergency medical services, and treatment for conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. Retirees will also access dental care, eye care (including eyeglasses), surgeries, physiotherapy, radiology, and hospital admission services.
Sulayman Abu-Bakr, Executive Secretary and CEO of the Niger State Contributory Health Agency (NiCare), reiterated the agency’s dedication to making quality healthcare available to retirees. “This enrollment is part of our continuous effort to uphold the promise of inclusive healthcare for all Niger State residents,” he noted.
This initiative aligns with the administration’s vision of ensuring healthcare sustainability, further reinforcing the government’s commitment to improving the quality of life for all citizens, especially the elderly.
